My Thoughts on Today...V-Day

Truth time!  I hate this day!
And it is not because I am single.  I have lots of love in my life and don't have much to complain about in that respect :)
So stop thinking that I am a bitter pathetic girl who throws Anti-Valentines Day parties
(PS this was not a particularly wonderful movie in case you were considering it..kinda dull)

As I told my dad the other day....I can't move to [insert place name here]...because I am not bitter and pathetic and old enough (yet..not all a the same time yet).  I'm not ready to totally "give up" just yet.
Although I was told the other day that if I get to 24 and am still single I should throw myself off a cliff.  (interesting solution) So perhaps my situation is more dire than I realize ;)

I have always hated this day (and by always I mean ever since we stopped having parties at school and I stopped giving out princess valentines).
And I will likely ALWAYS hate this day.
Its dumb...so lets be honest about it.

Do we need a day that we tell everyone we love that we love them?
Shouldn't we be doing that everyday?

Where are the people who insist we make every day Christmas day????
Why aren't they talking about Valentines Day?

We should be telling people we love them EVERY DAY!!!
Lets make EVERYDAY Valentines Day!!!
Tell them ALL THE TIME!!!
And not with flowers and candy.

And while we are on the subject, may I ask why society picked flowers and candy?
I mean I love flowers (particularly from a guy flowers) and candy (especially of the chocolate variety) as much as the next girl.
But flowers die
And candy makes you sick/get cavities/get fat/develop diabetes.

So what does that say about love????? ;)
I'm just saying     hahaha

But despite my fundamental issue with this silly holiday, I guess I will take advantage of it.

I tell my "close people" that I care all the time.  But in case I haven't told you in a while.  I do :)
I love you for being the bright moments in my life.
Friends and family...near and far.  You make every day a little easier and a little more happy!

But you know who I don't tell I love them enough.  You guys.  My readers.  Sorry for the sappy moment there...kinda cheesy ICK!

But I really do appreciate you guys.  You make my day when you comment and "react".  I throw a tiny party every time I get a new follower.  And my day is instantly magical when I see super high stats.

So thank you guys!  And Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!!!

want to hear my favorite love song right now????
I think I like it cause its cute and sweet...but to me...its not that cheesy. Just fun :)

Enjoy! AND HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Single Rose

And through it....an explanation of the Theory of the Rocket Ship.
I have alluded to this before.  But here is the WHOLE sch-peel

Its a simple principle of physics or whatever.
You put a whole lot of rocket fuel in a rocket and make it burn crazy fast...you are gonna get some SERIOUS lift off.  Like MAJORLY
But guess what.  Eventually...its gonna burn out.  And then you will stall.  Leading to eventual crash and burn.

Crash and Burn by Lifehouse on Grooveshark

You guys have all heard me moan and groan about Farm Boy
(I do apologize for my whiny-ness regarding this matter)
But I am going to bring it up again.  As a perfect example.

We (according to an outside observer) had crazy sparks going from the FIRST moment we met.  I really like him right from the beginning.  He was really attracted to me from the very beginning.  And so it EXPLODED. We took off...and eventually ran out of fuel.
It was fast and furious.  Practically over before it started.
I crashed and burned....NO FUN!!!

Dear Gentleman Callers everywhere
If you would like to woo me.  You are going to have to take it slow!!!  Like GLACIERLY slow.  I've crashed and burned.  And it has hurt.  So I am not keen to going super fast.
Don't call every day.  Don't be pushy.  Don't be too much too fast.
K???

I feel like I am on the Bachelor....
Stephanie will you accept this rose?
UMMM.....No???  yeah...no...sorry

My New Ringtone....

.....and what it actually means.

(Its actually just the 2nd chorus...but close enough!)

Many of you were super sweet and encouraging last week when I told you a story about a choice I was trying to make.  The safe choice...or the more risky choice.

You all told me to take the risk.
And I assume
(of course I suppose one should never assume...assuming can lead to problems...but I digress!) that you meant I should take a risk and allow Mickey back in my life.

WELL......

Interestingly enough...I tricked you a little bit.
Not a LOT....just a little!
Let me explain before you get too ants in your pants!

The safe choice is actually to allow Mickey back into my life.  He's the safe one.  Much less risky then allowing myself to be open to what could happen to me otherwise.

But is the safe choice always the wrong choice?  I've thought about it all week.  And honestly, I am happy and comfortable with my choice.

The ring is switching hands...so to speak ;)

OK....so I am a crazy person

I started playing on Pinterest.

So not a good thing!

Luckily...it provided a GREAT break during my day of NCLEX studying.
one chapter of studying...15 minutes on Pinterest!

Its of course going to take a while to get all set and fun....but eventually!

TST or FTF??

Is it a Theme Song Thursday post a day late?
Or it is a Favorite Things Friday post???

who cares.....this is what it is...An awesome song I am rocking out to RIGHT NOW....and NOW...and NOW
Yes I rocked out to it while at work on my computer.
Yes I rocked out to it while I walked home
And yes I also rocked out to it while getting ready for my night out.
My excitement level needed a little push...Thanks for the upper! ;)

Dear Boys---A General Letter

Dear Boys All Over the World

I think you guys are great.  You give me hugs when I need them.  You make me laugh.  You provide me with listening ears...and shoulders to cry on.  You notice I look nice when I tried really to look good.  You give me good advice. You lift heavy things for me.  You reach the stuff on the high shelf.

And because of all these things....I feel the need to share some things with you.

First--When asking a girl out on a date...Facebook and/or texting is not a classy way to do it.

Second--When asking a girl on a date...make it clear it is a date.  There are some key words I would like to suggest..."date", "take you out", "go with me"

Third--Be careful about how hard core you are before things get serious.  Give her a little bit of space.  Not lots...don't disappear.  But don't be a bother either.

Fourth--Don't send  mixed signals.  Don't flirt your face off...and then disappear.  It creates confusion.

Fifth--Pick a gear and stay in it!  There is no problem with changing your mind...you are totally free to do that.  Just try your best to not express your undying love and serious intentions for a girl...and then move on to someone else.  Again...confusion

Just some suggestions.  You can take it or choose to ignore it!

Love
Me

The Thoughts of a Friend

The following was written by someone very close to me.  She would only agree to write it if I kept her anonymous

So there are these things called the 10 Commandments right?  I break one of them all the time.  Thou shalt not covet.  Whoops!  Steph always complains about her bad luck with guys.  I'm right there with her.  The amount of old group pictures I have that feature me as the only remaining single person.  Not much fun at all!
